For staggeringly-wealthy Microsoft, that possibility appears to have become a reality, with the latest salvo in their attack on 'software piracy' by the supplier of household-name PC packages such as the Windows operating system.

To promote their campaign, Microsoft have been sending their customers an awareness mailer consisting of a rock enclosed in a box, with suitably corny literature.

Pebble Power
Well, when our pebble arrived, we had a field day. The puns were flying around, and we got completely carried away. But then we also had some more serious discussion about the sheer lunacy of a campaign on this scale, and the result is Stones Reunited.

Stones Reunited has a website where you can read more about this insane story, read what others have to say, and support our new cause: to get the recipients return each and every stone to Microsoft, so they can put them back where they belong. In our opinion, no stone should be left unreturned.
